About ArtsErewash

ArtsErewash (formerly known as CAFE) is a group of over 120 professional, voluntary, amateur and community artists, arts organisations and schools who either live or work in Erewash. Members meet bi-monthly to network, share information and collectively plan and deliver projects.

Arts Erewash is not for profit, constituted group run by local volunteers and supported administratively by the Arts Development team.

Aims

Raise the profile of and provide advocacy for all arts in Erewash; Provide a collective voice for key issues; Act as a catalyst for the development of all arts and creative activity in Erewash; Enable and support sharing and networking; strengthening the infrastructure of professional, amateur and not for profit arts organisations and individuals; and raise funds as appropriate.

The purpose of ArtsErewash is to improve networking and infrastructure for the arts in Erewash (all art forms including literature, visual and performing arts), to jointly manage projects and raise funds for these. CAFÉ’s current project rEvive Erewash is an arts and regeneration programme putting arts in empty shops in both Ilkeston and Long Eaton town centres.
